FAQ

How long is a session?

Sessions are typically 45-60 minutes. Length can depend on participants, insurance approval, and scheduling availability.

What happens during a session?

We talk! Therapy is an individual experience and no two sessions are the same. It is important that both client and therapist are active participants, however this can look different for each individual.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. Kristen is in network with several insurance companies. Click the "Insurance" tab above for more information.

How long will I need therapy?

While some individuals benefit from short-term supportive therapy, others benefit from longer term therapy. This is unique to the individual and his/her presenting problem. What is most important is to give yourself enough time to build a trusting and honest relationship with your therapist so that you can challenge yourself and grow.

I am a minor. Will you tell my parents what I say?

Therapy sessions are confidential. This means that, except for safety concerns, what you talk about in session is private.
